Every question lands in one inbox

Write to onda@helloonda.com and a person will answer. Below are the things people ask most often — setting up, correcting your dates, reminders, billing, and deleting what Onda holds.

Getting in touch

Write to onda@helloonda.com. It helps if you say what you were doing when something went wrong, which iPhone and iOS version you are on, and whether you are on Onda Pro. We read every message and usually come back within a couple of days.

You never need to send us anything about your cycle. We cannot see it, and we do not need it to help you.

Setting Onda up

Onda asks for two things: the date your last period started, and roughly how long your cycles usually run. That is the whole setup. From then on it asks for two taps a cycle — period started, period ended — so the forecast stays honest.

If you do not know your cycle length, 28 days is a fine starting point. Onda works out your real figure once you have confirmed a couple of cycles, and says so on screen while it is still estimating.

Correcting the date or the cycle length

Tap “Edit period date” on the Today screen to change the date everything is built from. Cycle length lives in Profile.

If you signed in on a new phone and the dates look wrong, that is expected: your cycle data never leaves your device, so there is no copy on our servers to restore. Onda starts you on a placeholder date instead of asking again. Correct it with “Edit period date” and everything recalculates.

Reminders

Reminders are optional. Onda asks before turning them on, and you can change your mind at any time in Profile.

One thing worth knowing before you switch them on: a reminder can name the phase you are entering, and a reminder about a date you saved names that date. That text appears on your lock screen, where anyone holding your phone can read it. If you would rather it did not, leave reminders off.

The evening check-in

The check-in is optional and never a precondition — tomorrow's plan arrives whether or not you answer. You tap from a short list of options; there is nowhere to type, by design. Answers are kept for seven days and then deleted.

Skip it as often as you like. If you skip it repeatedly, Onda stops asking daily and backs off to once a week.

Onda Pro, billing and cancelling

Onda Pro starts with a 7-day free trial and then bills monthly or yearly. The price in your own currency is shown in the app before you confirm anything.

Apple handles the billing, so cancelling goes through Apple, not through us. On your iPhone: Settings, then your name at the top, then Subscriptions. Or on the web: https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends, otherwise it renews.

Refunds are Apple's to give, at https://reportaproblem.apple.com. If something went wrong on our side, write to us anyway and we will help you make the case.

Getting your subscription back on a new phone

Tap “Restore purchases” on the subscription screen while signed in with the same Apple ID you bought it with. Signing in with Apple carries it across too. If neither works, write to us with the Apple ID email you used.

Deleting your data, or your account

Profile, then Your data, then “Delete everything” erases everything Onda holds on your phone — dates, answers, check-ins, the lot. We hold no copy, which is exactly why it cannot be undone.

If you created an account, Profile, then Your account, then “Delete account” removes it from our servers as well, from inside the app.

Deleting your data does not cancel a subscription. Apple owns that record, so cancel it with Apple separately — see above.

What Onda is not

Onda is educational. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose, treat or prevent anything, and it is neither contraception nor a fertility tool. It is also not a cycle tracker — it is meant to sit alongside one, if you use one.

If something about your cycle worries you, please talk to a clinician rather than an app.

Privacy

The short version: the date you enter, the lengths worked out from it, the phase you are in, your answers and your daily plan are stored on your phone and are not uploaded. The long version, including the parts that do leave your phone, is on the privacy page.
